Many applications require conventional block commutation – and Hall switches are the perfect fit here. Furthermore Infineon Hall switches are deployed in body application in classic automotive areas such as window lift modules. Our two-in-one double Hall sensor for example eliminates the need for a second sensor, which in turn cuts engineering and production costs. Additionally one sensor ensures perfect alignment of the sensor elements raising system quality and reliability.
Our latest XENSIVTM family member of Hall switches is the TLI4966G dedicated for industrial applications such as such as power closure systems for Anti-pinch detection, i.e. sun blinds, garage doors and much more. The sensor is a double Hall switche with two output pins for applications with a rotating pole wheel. The sensor provides a speed and direction signal at the interface pins.
Furthermore our new family of TLE4966xG dedicated for automotive applications such as tails gate or seat belt pretensioner and more are are double Hall latches with two output pins for applications with a rotating pole wheel. Depending on product variant, the sensor provides either a speed and direction signal or two speed signals related to the switching of the two Hall elements. This information can be directly used to develop a robust index counting system for anti-pinch prevention.

RASIC 77/79 GHz front-end ICs specifically for radar-based driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control and collision warning. Capable of detecting and recognizing objects at a range of up to 250 meters, these RASIC solutions enable the driver assistance capabilities required to obtain a five-star rating from Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Program). In fact, our 77/79 GHz SiGe RASIC chips lead the MMIC segment. The RASICTM 77/79GHz automotive radar support ASIL C, reducing customer R&D efforts.
Complementing our 77/79 GHz offering, we also deliver the markets most integrated 24 GHz radar transceiver family in the market, offering board savings of around 30 percent compared with discrete lineups. The Infineon XENSIVTM family of angle sensors is based on integrated Magneto Resistive (ixMR) technologies.
For example our magnetic sensor products TLE5501, are fast analogue TMR-based angle sensors dedicated to automotive applications. Their fields of use range from steering angle applications with the highest functional safety requirements to motors for wipers, pumps and actuators and electric motors in general. They are also ready to be used in industrial and consumer applications like robotics or gimbal.
Angle sensors detect the orientation of an applied magnetic field by measuring sine and cosine angle components with monolithically integrated magneto resistive elements.
Infineon´s iGMR sensors are ideal for applications with a wide angle range, such as BLDC motor or steering sensors. They are pre-calibrated and ready-to-use. Different levels of signal processing integration enable designers to optimize system partitioning.

The BGT24 family is the largest and highest integrated 24GHz ISM band radar transceiver family currently in the market, providing a range of different transmitter and receiver channel configurations, supporting different application requirements.
The BGT24MTR11 combines one transmit and one receive channel, the BGT24MTR12 one transmit and two receive channels, and the BGT24MR2 two receive channels which enables to add receiving channels in combination with the BGT24MTR11.

Infineon´s XENSIVTM innovative 3D hall sensor family TLx493D enables contactless position sensing for three-dimensional magnetic movements. Our 3D sensor is a hall-based sensor which detects the strength of a magnetic field in all three dimensions, i.e. x-, y- and z-axis. In addition the sensor is widely used to sense linear magnetic as well as angular movements. The last feature set is related to functional safety in automotive applications. The Infineon current sensors provide accurate and stable current measurement up to 120A. The products are intended for use in high-voltage industrial applications such as electric drives, photovoltaic inverters, power supplies or battery management systems.
The coreless open-loop sensors are based on Infineon’s precise and stable Hall technology. Thus the output signal is highly linear over temperature and lifetime. Due to lack of an iron core the sensor signal shows neither hysteresis nor does it suffer from saturation. Due to the integrated current rail there is no need for external calibration. The differential measurement with two Hall cells ensures high accuracy even in a noisy environment with cross-talk from adjacent current lines or magnetic stray fields.
Highlights of the XENSIVTM TLI4971 include best-in-class thermal performance for high currents due to its innovative TISON-8 package as well as isolation against high voltages. The two output pins for fast overcurrent signals can be used for pre-warning and system shut-down. Designers can program the threshold levels of the overcurrent signals and thus adapt them to individual requirements without any external components. The sensor also provides a signal in case of an over- or under-voltage condition for the supply voltage.
