IVY offers MD0630T01A for monitoring or providing shock protection&fault protection on AC and DC installations and for EV charging applications. MD0630T01A is a RCD sensor specifically developed for EV-charging providing all-current sensitivity. The sensor can issues an alarm signal in case of hazardous electrical faults (DC and AC). It has the characteristics of accurate measurement, small size and integration. The RCD sensor can be set separately for AC and DC leakage and has a digital output function. 

 

MD0630T01A is an automotive grade leakage current sensor family also called Residual Current Monitoring (RCM) or Residual Current Detection (RCD) class B and B+, dedicated to DC, AC, and AC+DC leakage current measurement. The MD series is the IVY Metering RCM type B current sensor family designed to measure and protect from AC and DC fault currents (leakage current). Our sensor to have best in class accuracy hence protecting it from potential fire hazards and electrical shocks. The ground fault detection module is intended for the detection of DC and/or AC residual currents in 50Hz/60Hz AC or DC installations. Charging of electric vehicles at a standard wall socket or a wall box requires protection devices against DC fault currents to avoid electric shock. Installed type A residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs) are unable to identify and deactivate DC fault currents. IVY differential current transformer offer the opportunity to save the cost and space for a costly type B RCCB in IC-CPD or wall boxes. MD0630STA-C is a leakage current sensor with the characteristics of high sensitivity, accurate measurement, small size, and integration. When a DC leakage current of 3~6mA or an AC leakage current of 15~30mA is detected, an alarm signal will be output. At the same time, it has a self-test function, which can be used to judge in real time whether the sensor is in a normal working state. If the sensor fails, the self-test output terminal will not be able to output a feedback signal.
